Marion Rousse, the treat

Marion Rousse, the treat

The Amstel Gold Race won on Sunday by Tom Pidcock really pleased Marion Rousse.

The classics season continues for runners. After the various Flandrian stages, it is the turn of the Ardennes, and this Sunday took place the first of them: the Amstel Gold Race. In the Netherlands, it was Tom Pidcock (Ineos Grenadiers) who raised his arms at the finish line after getting the better of Marc Hirschi (UAE Team Emirates) and Tiesj Benoot (Visma-Lease a Bike). There was a spectacle throughout the day and Marion Rousse did not shy away from her pleasure.

Commenting on the test, the consultant of France Televisions appreciated the progress and outcome. Last year, Tom Pidcock did not get far but was dropped by Tadej Pogacar, future winner of the 2023 edition. But this year, the man from the Ineos Grenadiers did not miss his chance . The day after the Amstel Gold Race, Marion Rousse posted a message on her social networks showing how much she enjoyed it: “This race was a treat. »

Alaphilippe at rest

And since the cycling season is in full swing more than ever, Julian Alaphilippe’s partner should very quickly be called upon again since here comes the Flèche Wallonne which will take place on Wednesday April 17 on the Belgian roads and which France 3 will broadcast. Laurent Jalabert should also be on the microphone since he is the other leading cycling consultant on France TV.

Marion Rousse, on the other hand, will not be able to support Julian Alaphilippe who is currently treating a broken knee. Victim of a fall during his participation in the Strade Bianche, the Soudal-Quick Step rider said nothing about it when entering the Flandrian classics. But his fracture of the head of the left fibula had become too debilitating and he is now being treated and resting, while waiting for better days.
