Laurent Luyat, his new couple made official

If France Télévisions has not yet precisely revealed its plan for the Paris Olympic Games, its management has confirmed the presence of Laurent Luyat alongside Léa Salamé for the presentation of “Quelle Jeux! “.

France Télévisions is in the starting blocks. If the Olympic Games only start in two and a half months, the arrival of the Olympic flame in Marseille, this Wednesday, May 8, marks “the start of an exceptional adventure which will last four months” for the public service, according to Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez, director of antennas and programs at France Télévisions.

“This is where the serious things will begin, confided the leader of the public group in an interview with La Tribune Dimanche. On May 8, we will offer a special day on our airwaves, with numerous programs live from the Old Port such as Télématin and the news. The big concert event with Soprano and Alonzo will be broadcast in the evening in prime time on France 2. On the same day, we will launch our digital channel entirely dedicated to the Olympics, on which the public will be able to follow the journey of the flame live for two months throughout France.”

While waiting for the exhaustive presentation of the system, Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez recalled its main points. “For the first time, the two major channels will broadcast the competitions simultaneously and the Olympic channel will be offered free of charge and exclusively on the Francetv platform,” he stressed, specifying: “France 2 will carry major events like swimming or athletics, and France 3 will focus on team sports. Urban sports such as BMX or breakdancing will be broadcast on the digital channel. »

The former member of the Ecologists also made official the name of Michel Drucker’s replacement, who was to serve alongside Léa Salamé at the helm of “Quelles Jeux! », the program which will close each day of the Games on France 2. And as Michel Drucker himself recently revealed, it is Laurent Luyat. “For the duration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, France 2 will broadcast every day – from Monday to Sunday – in the second part of the evening an American-style late show, presented by Léa Salamé with Laurent Luyat,” he indeed confirmed. Enough to undoubtedly calm the bitterness of the sports department, which had not appreciated not being involved in the program…
