Evans still leader ahead of Ogier

This Saturday, the Briton Elfyn Evans was still well ahead of the general classification of the WRC rally of Japan, ahead of Sébastien Ogier.

We take the same and start again. This Saturday, Elfyn Evns confirmed his place as leader in the general classification of the WRC rally of Japan, counting for the world championship of the specialty. The Briton is still ahead of the Frenchman Sébastien Ogier but also the Finnish Kalle Rovanperä. All three play within the same team, namely Toyota. The team can therefore seriously consider a hat-trick on home soil. This second day was much calmer, despite the appearance of a few snowflakes at the end of the day. Evans achieved scratch times on two short stages.

Tänak may fear for his fifth place

From now on, it is from fourth place in this same general classification that the suspense remains. More than three minutes behind the leader, we find, in fourth position, the Finn Esapekka Lappi (Hyundai), who has a lead of 30.1 over the Estonian Ott Tänak (Ford), fifth. Just behind, the Japanese made a good comeback, having notably achieved a total of seven scratch times, including four this Saturday. The pilot, at home, is recovering well after his mistake made this Friday morning. The Japanese is now only 3″6 from the top 5.
