Bagnaia loyal to Ducati

Double world champion Francesco Bagnaia has extended his contract with the Ducati team until the end of the 2026 season.

He arrived at Ducati in 2019, he will stay there at least until 2026. Francesco Bagnaia, crowned MotoGP world champion in 2022 and 2023 aboard the red motorcycle, the current best in the paddock, has extended his contract for the next two seasons. As the 2024 season begins this weekend in Qatar, the 27-year-old Italian driver will not have to worry about his medium-term future and will therefore be able to concentrate 100% on his quest for the treble, he who will start as favorite to his own estate.

I am delighted and ready to take to the track in Qatar for the first race of the year,” reacted Francesco Bagnaia, who becomes the second rider to be linked to Ducati for eight years.

Bagnaia started at Ducati Pramac

The Italian rider arrived in 2019 within the Ducati team, after starting in Moto3 at Honda (2013), KTM (2014) and Mahindra (2015) then joining Kalex in 2017 for two seasons of Moto2. Fourth in the Moto3 championship in 2016 (his best result in the category) then Moto2 champion in 2018, he started in the elite with Ducati’s satellite team, Pramac, before joining the flagship team in 2021 to continue his path to the top.
