Unsurprisingly, the Toyota TS050 Hybrids led the way throughout the weekend in the premier category of this 87th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

But it was indeed the No. 8 car (Buemi-Nakajima-Alonso) which got the better of the No. 7 car (Conway-Kobayashi-Lopez, 16 seconds behind) thanks to a double puncture of the latter, in the 24th hour, after a race that was controlled from top to bottom from the start.

Toyota therefore becomes the first Japanese manufacturer to record two successes in Sarthe after its victory last year. SMP Racing n°11 (Aleshin-Vandorne-Petrov) completes the podium (6 laps down).
